Course: AutoCAD MAP 3D Basis
- Planning and Registration
The AutoCAD MAP 3D Basic course lasts 3 days and costs € 995. AutoCAD Map 3D is the bridge between computer aided design (CAD) and geographic information systems (GIS) by providing direct access to data regardless of where it is stored. AutoCAD Map 3D for model-based infrastructure planning and management helps you integrate CAD and GIS data. The software is part of the Autodesk Infrastructure Design Suite, a comprehensive BIM for Infrastructure solution.
The student learns to edit and use 3D maps. The student is introduced to all GIS functions that have been added to AutoCAD. A good knowledge of AutoCAD and is a requirement. During the course, the starting point is started: collecting data. This can be done, for example, by importing scanned and georeferenced raster files. Source drawings can then be added. We will look at how existing data can be edited and cleaned up. We will also create query commands and load shapefiles and dgn files. We can also export all these files afterwards. In MAP 3D it is also possible to apply topology. Finally, we can create all kinds of thematic views using classification and we can support this even further with annotation.
Learning objectives during this course:
- Edit and use 3D maps
- Use GIS functions within AutoCAD
- Access and import data into AutoCAD
- Use and edit imported data
