Course: MongoDB Spatial

  • Description
  • Planning and Registration

This one-day course MongoDB Spatial costs € 595,- MongoDB is a NoSQL, open source database that works with JSON-like data. Data is stored in so-called “documents” instead of the usual tables. With MongoDB you will be able to develop faster. Easier to deploy and scale up more easily. This is because MongoDB is built to handle Big Data and is also flexible. Productivity can be increased by the flexible nature of the document model, which MongoDB uses. Since many applications use the cloud, MongoDB is the database to use. This course is for developers or administrators who already have some experience with MongoDB and want to explore the spatial possibilities it offers.

Content

In this course MongoDB Spatial we will first look at GeoJSON. This data format is very similar to the JSON format with a number of specific spatial attributes. Different types can occur in this GeoJSON format. Then a number of these types will be discussed, such as points, lines and polygons. You will load several of these data types and also perform spatial analyzes. A large number of spatial MongoDB Spatialanalysis options will be offered. Functions such as geoWithin, geoIntersects and nearSpere will be discussed in detail and used in the course. What you can do after this course:

  • You know what spatial data types there are
  • You can load these data types correctly
  • The spatial functions in MongoDB are clear to you
  • You know how to perform analyzes on these data types
