Course: Matlab Basics
- Planning and Registration
This Matlab course lasts 3 days and costs € 1395. Matlab is a software package designed by Cleve Moller in the 1970s. This course is an introduction to this powerful software environment that is widely used in academia and industry. The aim of the course is to familiarize the student with the interface and calculation functionality of the package. Each student independently exercises on the basis of which knowledge and skills are gained.
On the first day, an introduction is given in which the graphical user interface is discussed and explained. By means of a number of assignments, the student is familiarized with the possibilities that make the structure and philosophy of the package clear. The student acquires an overview of the entire package so that he knows all menu options and buttons.
The second day is devoted to mathematics and the student learns to work with vectors, matrices and functions. Other subjects in mathematics, such as differentiation, integration, variables and equations are also discussed. After this day, the student is able to solve complex equations.
The third day deals with real programming, which mainly involves writing simple functions. Then the graphical representation in 2D and in 3D of equations is explained. At the end of this course day, the student has a thorough basic knowledge of the possibilities of Matlab.
