NLCS stands for Dutch CAD Standard and is the new drawing standard for the civil engineering sector. The NLCS is an initiative of Rijkswaterstaat, the four major municipalities and a large number of leading engineering firms, among others, and is supported by CUR Bouw en Infra, CROW and Stabu.

Learn to understand and apply the NLCS, Learn to test NLCS drawings. It is important that you understand how the standard works. Clients will have to understand the standard to be able to make or check drawings. Contractors will need to understand the NLCS in order to read and make drawings. We have developed an NLCS course especially for these target groups. In this NLCS course it becomes clear how the NLCS works and why certain choices were made. With this basis you are able to quickly and easily create drawings that comply with the NLCS and check whether drawings comply with the NLCS standard. Prerequisites The NLCS course is broadly divided into two parts. In the first part we will discuss the structure of the NLCS and you will understand how this standard works. No specific prior knowledge is required for this. In the second part you will learn how to make and test MicroStation drawings in accordance with the NLCS. This requires basic knowledge of MicroStation. Even if you are not going to make drawings, but you are dealing with the NLCS, it makes sense to follow this course. By following this second part you will at least learn what you can expect from a MicroStation draftsman.
