The course lasts 1 day and costs € 495. More and more applications use OpenLayers as a solution to present cards. It is a JavaScript library and therefore requires programming work to use it.


In this course, the necessary steps are explained on the basis of practical examples. Attention is paid to linking with OpenStreetMap data and your own data. The target group is developers of web applications / websites. Knowledge of HTML and JavaScript is useful but not necessary. We will first give a short introduction of HTML / Javascript. Then we will create and configure simple JavaScript Instances. Then we will add substrate layers from WMS, TMS, WMTS. Next we are going to add vector layers from WFS, via GeoJSON, or using our own FeatureTypes. Finally, we will style our layers, after which we will go a little bit into Troubleshooting.

  • After this course you can build with subsurface layers, theme layers and integrate into a website using OpenLayers.
