Course: QGIS Field
- Planning and Registration
The QField course lasts 1 day and costs € 495. As foreknowledge, QGIS Basic is required. This is still under development in the QGIS community, but there is also a lot that can be done. The requirements for devices used in the field are different than for desktop computers. The screen is smaller, the input devices are different, and the tasks are different.
QField's goal is to help the user perform the tasks they need to perform without overloading the user interface. This means that only tasks to be performed in the field are available through the interface. Everything else is not. This means that everything such as layer styling, form definitions and other project setup steps must be done on a computer with QGIS first installed.
In this course you will learn to set up QGIS Field on an Android Tablet PC. You are going to read a PostGre database and then take the data outside to work with it offline. You can make adjustments in the field and then read the PostGre dataset again to process the adjustments.
Learning objectives during this course:
- Become familiar with QField
- Configure QField on an Android tablet
- Working with real data in QField
