Course: SketchUp Basic
- Planning and Registration
The SketchUp Basic course lasts 1 day and costs € 495. During this basic course the principles of drawing are discussed with SketchUp.
SketchUp is a computer program that can be drawn in 3D. The program was developed in the late twentieth century to design 3D objects more simply than the 3D programs of the time, which often required a course to operate the complicated software. Some of its features allow designers to "play" with their designs, which is impossible with CAD programs. It is possible to draw buildings using SketchUp and display these buildings in Google Earth as three-dimensional objects. The program includes a heliodon (shadow simulator), but the biggest breakthrough is thanks to the Push-Pull technique, which allows you to easily push or pull out surfaces of a 3D model.
There are two variants of the program: SketchUp Make and SketchUp Pro. SketchUp Pro includes more features than SketchUp Make, but the Pro variant is not free. This package can be downloaded here.
Step by step, the commands and options are discussed, providing insight into the structure and possibilities of the software. This SketchUp course is very target group oriented. The course is interesting for various professionals such as interior designers, gardeners or landscapers. This course is very suitable for people who can already draw 2D CAD and who now want to make the transition to 3D. During the course you will receive a good manual and the teacher will help you with various exercises. After the course you can start working in practice.
Learning objectives during this course:
- Get to know SketchUp
- Learn to work with commands
