Course: TatukGIS and Delphi
- Planning and Registration
The TatukGIS and Delphi course lasts 3 days and costs € 1395. Delphi Basis is expected as inside information. During the course we work towards creating a small GIS application. At the end of the course you will be able to write GIS applications yourself.
During the course we will first set up a new project. Then we will get acquainted with a number of classes in TatukGIS. In GIS environments it is important to have some understanding of the different projections that a GIS has to offer. We will first look at that. Then the different layers are discussed. We will work with vector and raster data and also load layers from a web service into memory. Then we will perform a number of manipulations on these layers. Then we will look at all kinds of search functions. This can be done on the basis of attributes, but also on spatial aspects. An important geometry class is the TGIS_Shape class. It will therefore be discussed in detail. The ability to adjust geometries or attributes is something that is common in daily work. That is why we pay attention to it during this course. Topology is an essential part of a geometry and is therefore discussed. The standard GIS analyzes such as buffer, clip, split and unify are discussed. Being able to work with a database will greatly improve the efficiency of a process. We will discuss this further in this course. Finally, an end product must of course be delivered. It is essential to be able to print a map.
Learning objectives of this course:
- The student knows the possibilities of TatukGIS in combination with Delphi
- You can then build independent simple functionality in TatukGIS
